Description
Top of Page
Jobber length carbide drill bits are general-purpose tools used for drilling in virtually all materials. They are characterized by their straight shank which is the same diameter of the cutting edge, and a flute length, which yields a drilling depth of 4.5 to 8.5 times the diameter of the bit. The flute helix ranges from 21 to 30 degrees depending on the supplier. They also have a 118 degree point angle which is web thinned for diameters greater than .125". These drill bits are offered as uncoated tools and PVD AlTiN coated for increased wear and heat resistance. Carbide jobber drills are an excellent choice for small batch machining.
