Stub Length HSS Drill Bits

Stub length HSS drill bits are general-purpose tools used for drilling in virtually all materials. They are characterized by their straight shank which is the same diameter of the cutting edge, and a flute length, which yields a drilling depth of 4.5 to 8.5 times the diameter of the bit.  The flute helix ranges from 21 to 30 degrees depending on the supplier.  They also have a 118 degree point angle.  These drill bits are offered as bright (uncoated) finish, and with black oxide finish.   HSS stub length drills are an excellent choice for hand or machine drilling.
